Me, Christopher - 6 months old

Me, Christopher - 14 months old

Thank you for stopping by. My parents don't know I am telling you all this, but I'm sure they don't mind. The picture above is from when I was 6 months old, and is the picture mom and dad first saw of me on the Internet Adoption Board, and that is when they fell in love with me. Here is a picture of me when I was 14 months old.

Dad, Mom, Jennifer & Guy-Michael

You know, if I had a choice, I don't think I could have picked a better family. This is Mom, Dad, Guy-Michael and Jennifer. Boy, do we have a lot of fun together.

Now for my story!

The first day mom & dad came to see me in the orphanage, I was so happy to see them. It was the first time I saw someone that didn't work at the orphanage, and they spent a lot of time playing with me. The people in the orphanage in Russia were very nice to me, only they had a lot of children and couldn't spend a lot of time with me.

I don't think I knew much about adoption when they first came, but after awhile, when they came back day after day, it seemed like they wanted to be with me all the time. When they visited, I wished they wouldn't leave because I didn't know if they were coming back.

They continued to visit me for two weeks and I thought they were just going to keep visiting me. But one day they came and brought me new clothes and after putting them on, they took me away from the orphanage. It was the first time (in my whole life) I ever left there, and I was so happy to be with mom & dad, that I didn't want to go back. They took me away in a car (I didn't know what a car was then but now I play with them) and we went for a long ride. The next day we went on an airplane and they brought me to Moscow. We stayed there for a week where I got to eat at McDonalds for the first (and not last)time. Then we went on another airplane for a real long time (it felt like days) even though I slept most of the trip. When the plane landed at Newark airport we were met by a little girl (now I know her as my sister), Jennifer, and Grandma and Grandpa Jengo. We went in a big car to a house in Hamilton Square, NJ, the place I now call home. This place is like a castle. I've never seen so many toys and clothes. The even have moving pictures on a screen (TV). I really like to watch this purple dinosaur called Barney.

Last week our family went on vacation. We went to a place called Wildwood, NJ. There was a big hotel with lots kids and a big swimming pool. I was able to float in the water in a tube and I loved to splash everyone. At night we went on what is called a boardwalk. There are many rides and my brother and sister took me on them. We went on boats and trucks and even horses (I think they called it a merry-go-round). On our way back to the hotel we got ice cream (boy that stuff is real gooooood).

Me in my Christening outfit

October 1996 ***** Mom and Dad had this big party for me called a Christening. They dressed me in a white outfit that had me slippin' and slidin' everywhere. See my picture. The party was alot of fun there were so many people there and they seemed so happy to see me.

November 1996 ***** Well I'm 16 months old now and boy you wouldn't believe how different I look. I'm taller and heavier (well that's what the doctor said the other day). So much has happened I don't know where to begin. The great news is that I'm walking now (mom calls it running too) and eating all different kinds of food. My favorites are chicken nuggets and fries, grilled cheese, and peanut butter and jelly.

I have alot of fun with my Aunt Joanne and my cousins Nicholas and Lauren. Last week we went to a park there were swings and climbing things everywhere and we ran through the leaves it was so cool. And yesterday Aunt Joanne brought Nicholas and Lauren over and we all put costumes on and went to everyones house and they gave us candy.

It is just so cool to have my own family, I play with Jennifer and Guy all the time. I love to snuggle with mom and dad especially when I'm tired. Speaking of which... I have to leave now to take a nap, but I'll be back to tell you more.

December 1996 - Some cool things have been happening. Everywhere I look I see beautiful lights. Mom and Dad now have a tree in the living room and at night it lights up. They even let me hang things on the tree. They gave me a hat (like Santa wears) that I like to put on. We went to see Santa and I sat on his lap. I was scared and cried but then he talked to me in a language I hadn't heard in a long time (yes, he spoke Russian) and I wasn't as scared. I did hear that Santa can speak many different languages but know I know for sure.

Grandma and Grandpa DeFazio came over yesterday and boy did we have fun. They like to kiss me alot.

Christmas is great. My brother, sister and I woke up Christmas morning and in the room where the lighted tree is there was tons of toys. I got a huge tool bench with tools and everything. I got a firetruck, a school bus, and a Barney book. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa DeFazios and you wouldn't believe how much fun we had. We ate lots of good food and then opened more gifts. I got lots of toys that play songs and tell storys. They are so neat.

Come back soon and I'm sure I'll have more stories to tell.

I'm Back. On Saturday, mom and Aunt Joanne took all of us to a place called Discovery Zone. This place was awesome. We just played and played and played.

Feb 1997 - Everyday Mom and Dad understand me more and more. I let them know when I want a drink or some fishes by pointing and saying eh eh. They have been teaching me new words too. I can say fower (mom says flower), more, down, Baaaa (sheep), piwow (that's pillow) and more. I'm learning so much each day and having fun at the same time. Click Hereand Here to see how much fun.

March 1997 - it gets better every day. Mom and Dad understand what I'm talking about now. Sometimes they don't understand and I'll cry but eventually we work it out. It's getting warmer out so we go outside on the swings and climb on the treehouse. (except today - I saw snow for the first time in a while).

April 1997 - I'm Baaaaack. I've been really busy this month. Everyone seems to understand me more and more. When I want a snack all I say is coo-coo and mom knows I want something to eat. She shows me the different boxes and I get to pick out what I want. I love Ritz peanut butter sandwiches and gold fishes.

I like to play with the big dogs on our block and I love all the birds and bunnies. Speaking of bunnies, Mom keeps talking about the Easter Bunny. I don't know who he is but it left a bunch of eggs all around our house and he brought me cool toys. I want to learn more about him. Alot of people came over my house on Easter. Here's a picture of me playing basketball with my cousin Gabrielle. Well I gotta go but I'll be back, I promise.

May 1997 - Sorry I haven't been back sooner
So much has been going on I haven't had time to stop by. It is getting warmer so I play outside alot. I always want to play on the swings and my Me on my slideslide. Mommy is getting much better at understanding me. I knew it was just a matter of time when she would be able to communicate with me. Sometimes I like to give her a hard time about going down the stairs in our house. She always want me to turn around and go down backwards but I see how she panics when I go down on my butt. I also play guessing games when I want a snack, it makes her crazy sometimes but she knows I love her. I also love spending time with my Dad and brother especially with my cars and building things. Check out my cool shirt with the American Flags. And look at my cousin Brianne and I . If she thinks she's getting my juice she's crazy. Me with pasta all over my face

I think they call this "a face only a mother can love" - Boy this pasta is GOOOOD!

Now that's Italian

June 1997 - By now you've heard that I'm 2 years old. What a big party for a little kid. It was so much fun. I wonder if the parties get bigger as I get older? I'll let you know. There were so many people at my house for the party. We played outside all day. We had pools and sprinklers, we played ball and played on the swings. All my cousins came (I have 8 cousins in all). I'll try to stop back later and get more pictures.

November 1997 - Sorry it's been so long since I've been back but you wouldn't believe how busy and how much fun I've been having. I started a new school and it is alot of fun but I miss my old friends. I'm starting to make new friends and I like driving to the school with my mom. Do I look happy or what! A fireman came to our school and gave us these hats. I just love singing .....

Hurry hurry drive the firetruck
Hurry hurry drive the firetruck
Hurry hurry drive the firetruck
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding....

Hurry hurry climb the ladder
Hurry hurry climb the ladder
Hurry hurry climb the ladder
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding....

Hurry hurry squirt the water
Hurry hurry squirt the water
Hurry hurry squirt the water
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding....

Me in my firemans hat

Jan. 6, 1998 - I know it's been a while but Moms been really busy with the holidays. I'm really likin' this holiday they call Christmas. We get to spend alot of time together with Grandma and Poppy Jengo, Grandma and Poppy DeFazio, my aunts, uncles and cousins, too. And you wouldn't believe the great toys I got. I got the Elmo train set, 2 big trucks that carry cars, and a dump truck.... I like to play with Jennifer's piano, too.
We went away with some of my aunts, uncles and cousins to a farm. It was sooooooo much fun. We played with the animals, played in the snow, well at least a little, and it was alot of fun. Uh oh, here comes Mom - gotta go for now. But I'll be back with more stories.

May 1998 - I'm baaaccck. Boy it's been fun. I know it's been a long time but there has been alot going on. School has been great. I'm learning so much and I have lots of friends. I'm learning my ABC's and I can count to thirty. I can also count to 10 in Spanish, uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diaz. Pretty good huh? Easter was alot of fun. We found eggs filled with candy and money. Check out this picture of me and my cousin Michael.
We went to a party at a firehouse and I got to sit in the truck. Check this out!
I also went to my cousin Lauren's birthday party. Here is a picture of me on a pony ride at the party.

October - Have I been gone that long? So much has been happening I'm sorry I haven't been very good about letting you know what's going on. I'm sure my mom has updated her page with updates so I'll give the shortened version.
June 1998 - What a great month! Oh yeh. my birthday is that month, no wonder it was so great. I had a birthday party and all of my cousins and aunts and uncles came. We had a BBQ and played outside all day. It was hot so we went in the sprinkers and in my little pool. I even got presents. I got a lot of Thomas the trains from my Aunt Cindy and Uncle Craig (and Gabrielle). I got a dump truck and hard hat from Grandma and Grandpa Jengo. Everyone gave me cars and trucks, too. I had a cake with a race car on it. Cool!
Mom and Dad went to Italy and we went to vacation at Aunt Joanne's house with Nicholas and Lauren. We went swimming in their pool and had a lot of fun. Grandma Jengo stayed over Aunt Joanne's house too. IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH!! Mom doesn't need to buy diapers anymore. My Aunt Joanne gave me underwear instead. It was messy for a few days but now I go pee and poopy in the potty and the underwear stay dry. This big boy stuff is pretty neat.
I really missed my Mom and Dad even though I had fun with Aunt Joanne. I was glad when mom and dad came back. They brought me a shirt that has a train and has Italy on it.
Then I got to go back to school (I missed my friends).

Then it was time for us to go to vacation in Wildwood. This place is really cool. They have a big pool and it's alot of fun to jump in. We can see the rides from our room. I really loved the trains and cars and truck rides. I even went on a big, big ferris wheel where we say alot of pretty lights.
Aunt Joanne and Nicholas and Lauren came and so did Grandma and Grandpa Jengo. We went to the ocean and the beach. I was flying my Batman kite all by myself (and my dad).

This past week, I got to meet some kids that were from Russia too. Like me! We played and played and had a lot of fun. I don't really know what being from Russia means but I'm sure my mom will tell me someday.
Well I think I'm all talked out for one day. I'll try to come back soon.
Where to go from here!
