First some information about me
Hello there my name is Michael , (old pic). I'm 32 years old, 5ft. 7in. tall, 155lbs. I have brown hair and blue eyes. I'm married to a wonderful wife named Kimberly. I have a wonderful son named Kyle who is 10 years old. He is in 4th grade this year. He is the greatest! I have been in the Marine Corps for over 14 years. I have lived in Kansas, Texas, Tennessee, California, Virginia, Japan, North Carolina, Okinawa Japan Northern Virginia near D.C and now I am currently stationed in Jacksonville NC.
My hobbies and likes are: Goofing around with computers (mostly), Wood Working, Gymnastics, Running (have to do it!), Scuba Diving. Okinawa has beautiful coral reefs to dive into, Mountain Biking, Roller Blading, Playing Tennis, Golfing, Swimming & going to school (who would have thought of school as fun? :-) The best thing I like to do is NOTHING!! I like to just sit and think of all the things I could be doing.
I currently work as an internal auditor for the Marine Corps. Performing all aspects of nonappropriated fund audits ranging from financial to performanance & operational types.
**(OLD INFORMATION....just keeps growing!!)** I currently work at the Marine Corps Historical Center located on the Washington Navy Yard in D.C. I am the Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Security Chief and Facilities Manager, as well as other various duties that really don't have a nice fancy title but take up just as much time.
(More old stuff) The job I have right now in the Marine Corps is a tough one. I work in production control for the power plants division of a support squadron. We support 7 different types of aircraft both fixed wing and rotary wing (helicopters). The squadron is called MALS-36. The hours are LONG and the tempo and stress are high. Sometimes I wonder why I asked to come over here since my last job was such a good one. I was an instructor. I taught Marines basic knowledge of helicopter engines and how to work on a T-58 GE-16 , (another pic) helicopter engine. There were other aspects of the job, but that was basically it. I also received my AIRCREW wings at HMT-204 FREST and now I can fly around in the sky in the CH-46E helicopter. It is a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of hard work.
